IVC will continue to comply with the UK Government advice and request that all staff look at this daily, this can be accessed via the following link:
Visitor access to our facilities will only be permitted in the following circumstances:
- Where a face-to-face meeting has been deemed critical, and the meeting cannot be held via video conferencing or any other platform
- Any such meeting must be pre-arranged and approved by a member of the IVC Board
Meeting approval will require the visitor to:
- Disclose recent travel history
- Confirm they have not displayed any cold or flu-like symptoms within the last 14 days, or any of the symptoms of COVID-19 as defined by the W.H.O.
Any visitors who have travelled to areas restricted by the UK Government or have knowingly been in direct contact with those who have – will not be permitted to enter IVC premises.
IVC have restricted staff from travelling outside of the UK, as per government guidelines and advised restricted movement of our staff within the UK. Where possible meetings with customers, suppliers and vendors will be conducted remotely via Telephone or Video Conferencing. All at-risk employees will be requested to work from home regardless of whether they are showing any signs of infection.
As a technology company, we have in place contingency plans for business continuity which includes remote working and therefore do not expect disruption to communications, IT systems or customer support.
Multiple staff work across projects, so no one project is affected by staff absence. All project information is stored centrally and accessible remotely and we will notify clients if the main contact for a project will be unavailable and who to contact in their absence.
Onsite activities have been limited to essential services and are only undertaken when the work has been deemed critical to their continued operation. When IVC staff are required to visit client premises we will request a copy of the procedures in force at those premises to ensure that there is enough action being taken to prevent infection from spreading.
Due to the nature of the systems we supply and install, it is highly likely that there will be extended timelines for products manufactured in Asia, after the stock held in the UK is depleted. We advise forward planning of procurement where possible to ensure continuity of supply for the foreseeable future.
The situation with Coronavirus is evolving and we will continue to monitor developments, review our current response and act on any further UK Government advice as appropriate.
